Whose values?

• Life. Since 2016, the Democratic platform has called for repealing the Hyde Amendment, the long-standing rule that keeps federal tax dollars from paying directly for abortions. Source
• Parents. California's AB 1955 barred schools from requiring that parents be told when their child changes gender identity at school. In March 2026 the Supreme Court blocked it, saying such policies likely violate parents' rights. The three liberal justices dissented. Source
• School choice. Most Democratic lawmakers oppose school choice, and most deep-blue states have declined to opt in to the new federal scholarship tax credit, even as polls show broad support among voters. Source
• Religious liberty. The Equality Act, passed by House Democrats in 2021, states that the Religious Freedom Restoration Act cannot be used as a defense against its claims, stripping a key protection for churches, charities and believers. Source

Islamism vs. the West

• Free speech. In the Middle East and North Africa, 18 of 20 countries criminalize blasphemy, and in places like Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan it can carry the death penalty. Source
• Freedom of conscience. Twenty-two countries outlaw leaving one's religion, and none are in Europe or the Americas. Brunei made apostasy from Islam punishable by death in 2019. Source
• Mob "justice." In 2022, Nigerian Christian student Deborah Samuel was killed by classmates after being accused of blasphemy for thanking Jesus for passing her exams. Source

This is about an ideology that wants religious law to rule over everyone, not about our Muslim neighbors. Many of its victims are Muslims themselves.
